Attending Life Challenge was one of the most challenging yet most rewarding and beautiful experiences I’ve ever been part of.  I knew of Jesus before, but I didn’t really know Jesus until I took part in this program.

I graduated from Life Challenge almost 8 years ago.  Leaving the program was scary and exciting all at the same time.  Through the year I spent with them, I not only got sober, but I learned about Jesus and was able to really form a relationship with Him.  Read More

I am 25 years old and I have been battling addiction since I was 19. I was an IV drug user for the past three years. I started using for the thrill and adrenaline rush.  But it wasn’t long before I became numb to everything around me and was completely empty inside.  I was arrested June 16th, 2021 and facing time so I filled out multiple applications for different rehabs, not because I wanted to go but to try to get out of my
pending charges. Read More

I was an addict most of my life.  Looking back now, I can remember times when I was so tired of the way I was living and would cry out to God to save me.  I am so grateful God heard my plea!  He took away all my crutches and He has begun to change me inside out.  My life is no longer full of confusion and chaos.  Instead, God has given me peace and shown me acceptance.  Read More

My childhood was pretty normal as far as I remember.  it wasn’t until I was 13 years old that I realized that my childhood was not as normal as I thought.  My father was mentally abusive which led me to becoming depressed.  I began drinking and eventually smoking weed to overcome the depression.  During that time, I met a guy who I would later marry and divorce.  I have a beautiful teenage daughter, who I love very much.  At first, I thought our relationship was normal, but it was actually very unhealthy.  He was verbally abusive to me.  I did not know how to handle the abuse, so I turned to pain killers and muscle relaxers to numb the pain I was feeling.  I put up with the abuse for 20 years.  Toward the end of our relationship my husband kicked me out and manipulated me into believing I would never get my daughter back.  I tried to commit suicide and ended up in the hospital.  I was released from the hospital and felt hopeless.  I met someone and started smoking crack.  Eventually, I just got tired of the way I was living and knew there had to be another way.  So, I decided to get help.  Read More

I had a great young childhood with two loving, Christian parents. When I was 9, everything changed. My grandmother passed away unexpectedly and my mom turned to alcohol to cope. My parents eventually divorced and I became depressed. I felt abandoned, unimportant and second to everything in my mom’s life. As a teenager, I began using drugs and hanging out with the wrong people. My drug use and drug choice progressed over the years and I fell into full blow addiction by 18. I put myself in some extremely bad situations- arrests, car wrecks and several overdoses. By the grace of God, I am still here and was able to experience what God had for me at Life Challenge.
